Le Case di Dorrie has helped people buy and sell homes in central Italy for more than twenty years. Dorrie Seijffert founded the agency in 2004. Yvette van Veen has now taken over the business. Dorrie and Peter remain involved.

Dorrie and the beginnings of the agency
Dorrie Seijffert founded Le Case di Dorrie in 2004. Originally a conference interpreter working with Dutch, Italian, French, English and Spanish, she brought her language skills to her work as a qualified estate agent in Italy.
Buying a home abroad involves more than a viewing. There are different customs, Italian documents and a buying process that differs from the Dutch system. Dorrie helped clients understand the steps and maintained contact with owners, other agents and the notary.
More than twenty years in central Italy
The agency started in Umbria and also assists with purchases in Tuscany, Marche and Lazio. Over the years, Le Case di Dorrie has helped clients find holiday homes, second homes and places to settle in Italy.
The work is practical: finding suitable properties, arranging viewings, negotiating prices and terms and checking property documents. Help with the codice fiscale, purchase agreements and preparations for completion is also part of the service. After buying, clients can ask about their new home and local contacts.
Yvette van Veen has taken over the agency
Yvette van Veen has taken over Le Case di Dorrie and continues the agency under its existing name. She has experience in the Italian property market and has guided buyers through their search and purchase.
In September 2024, Yvette moved with her family from the Netherlands to Umbria. She understands the questions involved in such a move: not just which home to buy, but how to live there and what needs arranging. She brings this experience to viewings and purchase preparations.
Dorrie and Peter remain involved
Their involvement does not end with the takeover. Dorrie and Peter remain connected to the business, and their knowledge and experience remain available. Yvette builds on that experience. The Le Case di Dorrie name stays, along with the Dutch-language guidance clients have known since 2004.
